What is the difference between biofules and biomass?

  1. Biofuels are fuels made from corn (ethonal) or any other plant.  Another example of one would be biodiesel  which is a combination of diesel and vegetable oil.  

    Biomass would be using actual wood or plant matter to burn for fuel.


  2. Biomass is all the stuff that is currently alive (living organisms).  It includes animals, plants, even bacteria.

    Biofuel is fuel made from or made by the biomass.
