What is the difference between boardshorts and swim trunks?

Board shorts hang down to your knees and suck. Swim trunks are shorter and made for swimming, allow for a more full tan and dry quicker. I personally prefer to wear swim brief ( speedos) as they give the most freedom of movement and the fullest tan.

board shorts are baggy whereas swim trunks are on your skin (:

The reason being you cannot swim properly with boardshorts because it adds drag.
