  1. Calor is used to describe weather and yourself.

    Hace calor - It's hot.

    Tengo calor - I'm hot (tempurature)

    Caliente is used for things such as pizza I supoose.

    La pizza es muy caliente - The pizza is very hot.

    You can use caliente for yourself but it has a sexual connotation.

    Tengo caliente - I'm hot (you know what i mean)

    caliente = hot

    (also in figurative way)
