  1. I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but...

At my daughter's school, any 7th grader can sign up to do cheerleading.  There are no tryouts; anyone who wants to do it can sign up, and there are usually like 80 people.

In 8th grade, they have to tryout to be a cheerleader.  Only 16 people make the squad/team.

Maybe that's what they do at your school?  They might call one of those groups "Cheer Squad" and the other group "Cheerleaders."

  2. girls on a cheer squad take part in the activity of cheerleading

  3. hey. a cheer squad is like a team, and cheerleading is a sport.

in a squad u cheer for football and basketball( if a school squad) and u perform at pep rallies and stuff like that and u also compete.

so squads require a backhand spring for varsity so dont. if u want to tryout and the squad requires a backhand spring or roundoff backhand spring get into tumbling classes. u will eventually learn back tuck, layout, pike, half, and full.

    hope i helped. bye.

  4. cheer squad-basicly like cheers and stunts.

cheerleading-allstar is where you do tumbling stunts and dance and jumps and standing tumbling like backtuck bhs tucks etc.

  5. Cheer Squad- A team of people that came together.

    Cheerleading- A Sport.

  6. A cheer squad is the actual team. Cheerleading is the sport, with gymnastics, dance, cheer, stunts and technique. In the actual CHEERLEADING it is important to know how to do tumbling but not always required.
