What is the difference between cointreau and grande marnier?

  1. My friend has visited the cointreau factory, it is actually flavoured with oranges, but it is made with ethanol (unaged alcohol) soaked with orange rind instead of brandy.


  2. grand marnier is based on a blend of cognacs and flavoured with oranges ..cointreau isn't

  3. they're two entirely different products that happen to taste like orange.

  4. Cointreau is a French Triple Sec with a light orange flavor, and uses neutral grain spirits.

    Grand Marnier is a Liqueur - again flavored with orange rind - but uses brandy as its base.
