  1. The difference between the two is the temperatures that they thrive in.  Cool season grasses thrive in temperatures of 65-75-F and warm season grasses thrive in temperatures of 80-95 F.  Also cool season grasses are generally grown in the North and warm season grasses are generally grown in the south.
