  1. Couscous, in English speak, is a pasta resembling grains such as quinoa or millet. In North Africa couscous is actually the saucy chicken, vegetable and/or meat dish that goes over what we call "couscous". Tabouli is a salad, depending on where you get it you might see couscous in it, but usually it's made with parsley and some tomato. I prefer tabouli without the couscous.

  4. CousCous is a pasta that s shaped like rice and generally served with braised meat and steamed vegetables.  Although there are lots of cold salads made with cous cous also. Tabouli is a salad made with bulgar, parsley, mint, and lemon.  Bulgar is cracked wheat that is par cooked and dried.  It is delicious in tabouli salad and just with a little butter and salt for breakfast.  I also like it served with grilled vegetables.
