What is the difference between cyclone, typhoon, hurricane?

Well this is what i think. typhoon, is merely a hard out strong wind, up to 100mph, or more. and cyclone,/ hurricane, i thought they are just, a weaker version of a tornado, just different names. although i like the sound of, hurricane, hurricane, hurricane, hehehe. :)

They are all the same, the difference is the oceans they are in.

They are the same thing.  The only difference is the location on where they occur.  A hurricane forms in the Atlantic and east Pacific, and is the kind that hits the US.  Typhoons forms in west Pacific, and hits southeast Asia like China and Japan.  A cyclone forms in the Indian ocean and hits south Asia such as India.

A cyclone is an atmospheric system characterised by the rapid inward circulation of air masses about a low-pressure centre, usually accompanied by stormy, often destructive weather. Cyclones circulate counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere.

A tropical cyclone is the generic term for a non-frontal synoptic scale low-pressure system over tropical or sub-tropical waters with organized convection (i.e. thunderstorm activity) and definite cyclonic surface wind circulation
