  1. ^^^^6ppl with their complicated terms and c**p. ok... if you swing slower and 100mph then you should go with reg. if your mph is 100+ then stiff. stiff doesnt bend as much as regular.

  2. it is all about ur swing speed. people that swing fast use a stiff and people slower use regular. i am a 12 year old kid and use extra stiff because i have an extrimely fast swing. most people though use a stiff shaft so i think that is best

  3. It's not terms of better or worse it is just what fits. This is based on your clubhead speed. Generally a good gauge is this: What club would you use for a 150 yard carry? Meaning if you had to land a shot past an obstacle 150 yards away without roll, what club would you use? If you answer 8i 9i or PW you should probably go with stiff. If your answer is 7i 6i or 5i go with reg.  The other factor is trajectory. If you like to make high shots, go with reg. If you prefer a lower ball flight go with stiff.

  4. There are more variables in play in this instance:

Regular flex will have more and easier flex than a "stiff" flex generally. HOWEVER, stiffness in individual shafts/brands tends to be slightly different, i.e. a stiff in graffaloy may not be the same stiffness in Aldila.

Then there's the "kick point" or flex point to consider.  The ball flight is opposite the kick point, i.e. - High kick, low flight.

As for which is right, it depends on your swing speed. I would get measured and ask the pro shop what they recommend.
