What is the difference between elder and older? and doea this make sense "youths and elder indians"?

  1. to say elder is refering to the person's rank in the whole society or town whatever. A person can be older than someone and not be a "tribal elder"


  2. older is the descriptive, an elder is a person with more age or seniority then others... if you are older then someone, you are their elder.
