What is the difference between fertiliser you use for native plants,against fertiliser you use to grow roses?

  1. There really isn't any.  There are differences in fertilizers, but this is mostly in where and how the nutrients are derived (artificial/chemical versus natural sources) and the proportions of the major nutrients (ratio of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potash, written as 5:5:5, 10:5:5, 5:10:5, etc.) and trace elements.  But this last is more related to the "strength" of the fertilizer, and whether it's to be used to promote general growth, vegetative growth, or flowering and fruit production.

    But as long as you're providing the necessary nutrients and in an amout that doesn't "burn" the root system by providing too much, it's all the same as far as the plant is concerned.
