  1. well the blade of hockey skates are very thin so thin that it could break your finger.Figure skates cant break your finger unless you sharpen the blade

  2. i dont exactly know

  3. Ice skates blades are more curved.. they are wider.. and since the way to skate in ice hockey differs from that of figure skating.. the skate blades are also different..

figure skates also have a toe pick which could be dangerous, and are harder to skate in.

  4. there are a lot of differences between the two.  the most noticeable is the blade.  the blade of a hockey skate is curved in the front and the back.  they are built for maneuvering and speed.  the blade of a figure skate has a jagged edge on the front called the toe pick.  the back unlike the hockey skate comes strait out.  the blade of a figure skate has less of a curve on it for stability and smoothness of ride.

the boots are also built different, the boot of a hockey skate is very stiff and hard.  it has thicker walls for protection from the hockey puck.  they also have a toe cap on the front of the boot.  the boot of a figure skate is softer and more flexible.  the wall of the figure skate is thinner and wraps the ankle higher.  figure skates do not have  the same forward lean as hockey skates.

  5. Figure skates fit your foot, have longer blades with a toe pick in front and an extended blade in back.  They are to be laced tighter around the ankles for support.

Hockey skates are larger, blade is slightly shorter than the boot, blade is round both front and back.  They are laced loosely so that the skater has more movement for quicker stops and so they can change directions.

  6. figure skates have tow picks

  7. Figure skates are for g*y people.

  8. Figure skates have blades that are longer and have a toe pick (the jagged thing on the end) and they are typically easier to skate in because of this. Here are a picture of figure skates and a picture of hockey skates so you can see the difference
