  1. They have the same stoke 3.50, but the bore has been increased from 4.00 by 0.050 to 4.050 on the 360/361, the 361, same as the 360,   is a 390 block with a 352 crankshaft..

It's the old Edsel engine, thus, FE = FORD EDSEL

The 352 and 351 have the same bore and stroke, just different engine designs..like the Windsor and Cleveland 351's are different designs.

One of the torquiest motors from Ford was the 400, it was 4 bore x 4 stroke, that's why it was used mainly in the trucks.

Here is a great engine displacement calculator

  2.                  bore       stroke

    352           4.000      3.500    (1960-66)

    360           4.050      3.780    (1961-71)

  3. 351c and 351w cars go fast short stroke

360 truck pulls weight long stroke

  4. sorry svo=FE is the chemical symbol for iron-which is what they were refered to back in their day-not ford edsel--best edsel knowledge you will probably ever find alive--my father was the head of the transmission and chassis division for the edsel project and he still has the original proposal papers right up to the pre-production engineering specs and drawings

  5. About 8 cubic inches.

  6. Here is a list of all the FE motors from Ford.

    Displacement  Bore  Stroke

    332 4.000 in (101.6 mm) 3.300 in (83.8 mm) 1958 59

    352 4.002 in (101.7 mm) 3.500 in (88.9 mm) 1958 67

    360 4.052 in (102.8 mm) 3.500 in (88.9 mm) 1968 76

    361 4.047 in (102.8 mm) 3.500 in (88.9 mm) Edsel 58 -59

    390 4.052 in (102.9 mm) 3.784 in (96.1 mm) 1961 1970

    391 4.052 in (102.9 mm) 3.784 in (96.1 mm)

    406 4.130 in (104.9 mm) 3.784 in (96.1 mm) 1962 63

    410 4.054 in (103.0 mm) 3.98 in (101.1 mm) Mercury 66 68

    427 4.232 in (107.5 mm) 3.784 in (96.1 mm) 1963 1968

    428 4.132 in (105.0 mm) 3.98 in (101.1 mm 1966 1970

Of course many varieties of 427 and 428. I have 3 Galaxies and all have FE motors, 352 and 2 390's. Lot of torque.

  7. i think just stroke length, the block is the same.

  8. Both are FE engines with the same stroke the 360 bore is .050 larger.
