  1. it is usually an extra 4 yrs of study and testing in a higher learning university. pHd MEANS CA DOCTORATE DEGREE AND OFTEN REQUIRES ANYW3HERE FROM ONE TO TWO TEARS INTERNSHIP IN THE FIELD AS WELL

  2. PhD is superior

It takes more years in preparation

It is a true scientific research

  3. the PhD is generally considered to represent the highest level of research in a particular field. There are other doctorates, each with a different level of recognition among scholars.

No Masters degree is equivalent to a PhD, nor are some professional doctorates such as JD, MD, ND, DC, DO etc... these are professional doctorates, and are NOT research based degrees.

It is not true that you NEED an MA to get into a PhD program, although it certainly helps a lot.

  4. a Phd is better than  a masters... i don't remember how many more years it takes after the masters... but yah :)

  5. A masters is 2 years of college after a bachelors degree (perhaps more if you have to do a thesis).  A PhD is 4-8 years after the bachelors degree, and definitely requires a thesis of original research.  You might get a masters before or on the way to the PhD.

  6. PhD is more school..plus you  have to write a thesis

  7. You need a Masters Degree in order to enter the PhD program.  Does that answer your question?  PhD is usally 4-5 years.  Masters Degree is 1-2 years.

The order goes like this: 4 year college- Masters Degree- PhD

  8. A Master's Degree comes after a Bachelor's.  A PhD comes after a Master's.  A PhD makes you a Doctor; a Master's does not.
