  1. The ozone layer is very high . It is caused by the collision of the solar winds and the earths magnetic  field  . The CFC never got that high it was all a LIE. The green house gas is not there ,it is just some more bad estimate.

  2. The loss of the ozone layer is/was caused by cfc's used in aircon refrigerators and spray packs, cfc's which are now banned in most countries .

GW is caused by the man made increase in greenhouse gases primarily caused by the burning of petroleum and coal releasing ~27 billion tons of co2 a year at the present rate

  3. CFCs caused the ozone hole-- those were banned long ago. The hole IS repairing itself-- given another 50-75 years it should be almost completely gone. According to NASA scientists. It has nothing to do with GW.

Edit to Johnnie --as an amateur astronomer I like your solar winds theory-- but there are some chemical processes going on at the same time -- and solar winds have been hitting Earth for about the last 4-5 billion years. All is OK now -- it will disappear eventually..... or be reduced in size to a non-issue.

  4. Size and scope of the issue and the intrusion into the market that the environmentalists said represented the solution - both of which resulted in that "solution" being implemented:

there was no "skeptic" movement with respect to CFCs and the ozone layer, the environmentalists managed to get CFCs banned, and a generation later, the ozone hole is no smaller than it was before the ban.

Of coure the official explanation is that the initial damaged done by big bad American industry was "worse than originally thought," and now the projections are for the ozone hole to repair itself slowly over the course of another generation - - i.e., when the people who lobbied for the CFC ban are long-since retired.
