What is the difference between gold, platinum and other types of a video game?

I'm looking to buy an older video game (Call of Duty 3) and I see that I can buy a "gold" version, a "platinum hits" version, and a regular version. Is the game content any different between the three types?

There is no difference from one copy to the next. As the price came down they slapped a new label on it.

I'd just spend the extra bucks on Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare.. Seriously, the older COD games just don't compare to this one. As a matter of fact, there a waste of time!

anyway its all the same game dont worry its just saying that game sold a lot, no matter which version u buy it will be the same game
