  1. yup..I agree with answer above.

  2. Peninsular India is ancient rock formation with Deccan trap predominating. Basically it is an elevated plateau sloping gently from west to east. Elevatins are limited to 1800 meters.

Himalayas are the youngest mountain chain. they are the loftiest at 8800 meters height at many places. There are several ranges separated by deep valleys. As the name implies it is the abode of permanent snow, giving birth to perennial river systems of Brahmaputra, Ganga (the ganges)and Sindhu (Indus).

  3. Peninsular India includes the Himalayas along with a large part of North,South,East,West India.

  4. Peninsular India has collided with continent Asia uplifting the Himalayan mountains.  Peninsular means 'almost' 'island' as penumbra means 'almost' 'shadow' and India likely was once an island.

  5. The difference is mainly due to the geological strukture of tnis places. Peninsular india is a stable part of the Indoaustralian plate of the very old geological age whilst himalayan mountains are very young and unstable. This is the reason for permanent earthquakes there/
