What is the difference between honda accord and honda civic?

size of car and motor, the options you can get in it. the accord is nicer than a civic but the civic gets better mileage. go to your local honda dealer and look at them you can even take it for a test drive. a tip though don't hand them the keys to your car if you have one for a trade in that way after wards you can just jump in your car and go and they don't "accidentally" misplace the keys to your car they won't always give them back right away to try and talk you into buy a new vehicle they work on commission no sale equals no money in their pocket. had this done to me and i didn't get the keys back till i called the cops and told them my car was being stolen cop came i got keys back and left i learned my lesson.

The Civic is more fuel efficient, the Accord has more room, luxury, and has an optional 6 cylinder engine.

I classify the Accord as the high end version of a Civic. Like how I would classify a Camry to a Corolla or a Galant to a Lancer.

The Civic however has a stronger aftermarket than the Accord.

The Accord is all around a nicer car, and more expensive than a Civic. Personally, I like them both.

Accord is a larger vehicle.  Civic - smaller.  I'm sure engine types vary as well as "extras"  

All I can say is I have a 2000 Civic EX 2 door/power windows/locks-sun roof/CD Player/AC - It's all I really need as I usually travel alone and have a short commute to work.  It only has 41k miles.  Normal maintainence has kept this car purring.

It is my second Civic and I will likely buy another one when the time comes.

Civic is better at gas mileage and way cheaper.

Accord is bigger, comes in 4 and 6 cylinders and its more luxurious than the civic. You really can't go wrong with any of the 2, they are both reliable cars.
