What is the difference between integrated algebra and math A?

im in the ninth grade

i hav not taken the math A yet but im supposed to take the integrated algebra this year? when will i take math A? do i have to take it?

  1. integrated algebra and math a are courses you take in ninth grade.you are suppose to first learn integrated algebra then math a. you also have to take the regents as well to proceed to math a.integrated algebra will be a course as math a and b together


  2. No you will never have to take the Mathematics A Regents Examination. New York State in transitioning from Math A and The two year course in Math B to Integrated Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2/ Trigonometry. Instead of the Graduation Requirement of two math regents NYS is giving three. Math A is now Algebra. The first year of Math B is Geometry and the Second year of Math B will Be Algebra 2/ Trigonometry. New york just loves to make things more difficult for its students
