  1. Masada was under seige.

  2. Two different continents.

  3. Fireball's never heard of Masada???

  4. jesus christ! the first intelligent question i have seen on this god forsaken site

  5. Well, I would point out that at Masada, the people were under siege by an occupying army who had made clear by previous actions that the women would be raped and tortured before death. The suicides were committed as being preferential to torture. At Jonestown, it was purely a matter of demagoguery and eschatological delusion.

  6. Actually the only known record of any mass suicide happening at Masada comes from Josephus. Maybe you should try the UFO cult and their suicide instead

  7. The romans would have raped the Jewish women and crucified the men. at Jonestown there was not even a threat of arrest.

  8. never heard of the 2nd one.....Jonestown over 950 died!!
