I plan to leave college for two years and do not know when to come back

  1. A leave of absence usually refers to a period of time that the student will not be enrolled but with the understanding that the student will return shortly.

    Withdrawal generally refers to the act of withdrawing yourself from a credit course or, on a larger scale, the university.

    If I were you, I'd check with my adviser to see what options you have and what he would suggest you do in order to maintain a good academic standing for when you return.  Each university has varying policies, so it would be best for you to inquire within your particular college.
