  1. Literalist Christians believe the Scriptures exactly as they are written - that they are literally true. The gnostics believed that the Scriptures had deeper meanings and were "mysteries" that could be experienced instead of learned in a book. I believe Paul was a gnostic as he spoke specifically about the mystic Christ rather than the physical Jesus. He also spoke about the mysteries and freedom from the law rather than subjection to it.


  2. There is no such thing as a "gnostic Christian".  

    The Book 1 John in the Bible exposes gnosticism as satanism.  Gnosticism is completely against Jesus Christ, and Jesus is completely against gnosticism.
