I'm asking because I'm trying to do an assignment and I can't find the vocabulary terms for the aforementioned.

Here is the assignment.

Using the Internet, research Microsoft in the software industry and AT&T in the telecommunications industry to compare and contrast their performance over the last five years. Compare the two companies with special reference to the economic and environmental factors affecting their business during this time.

Examine how the following aspects of the company have changed over the last five years.

Growth

  1. Share price is the cost (dollars per share) or one share of stock in each company.

    Market share is the percent of the market that the company has.  If you said Microsoft has 60% market share of operating systems then 60% of the operating systems in use and ones they sell.
