there is really no difference maybe the interest you have to pay or any annual membership they all work the same

Visa and Mastercard are the same company.  Mastercard is for the poor, Visa is for the not quite as poor.  AMEX is for the not quite rich to rich.

The AMEX "Black Card" is for the rich of the rich.

Practically nothing,  Two different companies offering the same kind of products.  You will notice that wherever credit cards are accepted, they will always state that they accept Visa/Mastercard.
