  1. Monkeys and apes are both primates.  Apes are generally larger (except gibbons), have full shoulder rotation, broad chests, arms longer than legs, and no tails.


  2. The great apes like the gorilla..orangutan...chimpanzee closely resemble the ape man/woman that closely resemble the modern man/woman...the others that are monkeys do not.

    too whit - we are from the same line of descendants as Apes and we have vestigial tails called a coccyx
