What is the difference between ocean city maryland and ocean city new jersey?

I am taking my fiance away with another couple for a long weekend and know that one of these is much nicer than the other (for adults). Can anyone fill me in on the differences between them. Which has better beaches, restaurants, things to do, etc

Maryland is better than Jersey! Farther south you go the cleaner the water! But Jersey is more family oriented with Boardwalk Amusements and stuff like that. couples can have a better time in Maryland and they have better Resteraunts and tours, all around better!

I think OC NJ is a dry town, meaning no alcohol. There's a problem right there. OC MD is very nice, lots too do, clean beach, it's pretty busy if you like that. Not that great if you are looking for a quiet trip. I think OC MD is great! If you go, try Fishtales, it is so much fun!
