What is the difference between platinum blonde and bleach blonde?

I've been having a debate with my gf about it for a little while. I believe that bleach blonde is the more white kind of blonde and that platinum is a more golden metallic color. So far what pictures I've gone looking for to try to prove have been just as confusing as I am already about it. How would you describe each one?

I have a friend who is a platinum blond and she's dummer than a box of rocks and I also have a friend who bleached her hair and she's dingy so my answer would be if your platinum your probably going to be dummer than a bleached hair person.

Hmm I'm not sure but I think bleach blonde is more of a yellow blonde, and you can tell its really fake.  Platinum might be more white?

They are both blonde >.<

go to a store and look at the names of blonde hair dye.

It will say platinum blonde and such.

Platinum is like almost white and is super bright, where Bleach blond is a little more yellow and a little less bright, but they are both brighter than normal blond.

Hello, I'm a stylist.  Platinum blond is a color that comes in a box.  Bleach blond is really any blond that is reached when using bleach.  On my color charts and rings, platinum blond is a silvery almost white color.  Bleach by itself just dissolves the color that you have and the box color dissolves the dark and also deposits the color to create the platinum look.  I hope this helps!

A bleach blonde is a blonde that bleached her hair to make her or him blonde, a platinum blonde has more of a white ish color to it like almost a silver color, platinum hair is void of color pigmentation hence the whitish platinum.

I always thought that beach blonde ment having hair that appears to be somewhat naturally bleached through the sun. Platinum is the white/blonde hair.

Platinum is the lightest shade of toned blond.

It's one step above white, because it has been toned.

Platinum is a metallic shade, but platinum does not have a silver tone.

Silver has a blue cast, platinum does not.

It does not have a gold/golden cast to it.

Now, check #24B light golden blond.

As you can see, platinum is lighter than any of the other blond shades.
