  1. poison is somthing that is ingested through your mouth or other oraphis, or through a wound. venom is somthing that is inujected into you.

    these are often mixed up when refering to animals such as snakes, when people call it poison instead of venom, which is wrong.

    poison dart frogs have poison as it has to go through a wound or your mouth to harm you. snakes such as rattle snakes bite and inject venom

  2. Venomous is something that injects its venom.  Poisonous is something that makes you sick (or kills you) when you eat it.

  3. There is a difference between organisms that are "venomous" and those that are "poisonous", two commonly confused terms applied to plant and animal life. Venomous refers to animals that deliver (often, inject) venom into their prey when hunting or as a defense mechanism. Poisonous, on the other hand, describes plants or animals that are harmful when consumed or touched.

  4. Poisonous> Having the properties or effect of poison. Synonym> poison, toxic, toxicant, venemous, virulent. They are the same thing. Check it out.

  5. Venomous= injected

    Poisonous= ingested

  6. Poisonous, i am guessing would go more along the lines of having to with plants. Or things that make you sick when they are touched or ingested into the body.

    Venomous, i am also guessing would go along the lines of having to do with snakes.
