  1. population size is how many and density is how much room.


  2. size means how many individual organisms are in the population.

    density means ow many organisms per unit area or unit volume.  example:

    population density in my street is 8 people per block.

  3. Population size is the total. The density is how many people per square mile. The density may be an average or the highest and lowest.

  4. Pop size is the actual count.

    Pop density shows were the population is most dense, or where a majority of them are.

    Ex. The pop density of Montana would be more dense around the large cities compared to the rest of the state.
