  1. Displacement can be defined as the vector difference between two position vectors.

    Imagine a 2D plane. Let's say our bug starts out at (2,2) and moves to (5,6).

    Our displacement vector is (3,4), which also can be said to be magnitude 5 at 37º above the x-axis.
