  1. A more practical answer would be that condensation is the conversion from a gaseous state to a liquid state, either due to temperature or pressure changes - like liquid water forming on the surface of a glass containing an iced beverage.  Precipitation (besides being the chemical reaction referred to in the previous answer) is the fancy name for simple rain - i.e. when condensation occurs in the atmosphere and the droplets get so large that they fall from the sky.


  2. Precipitation is the crashing out of a solid from a solution. Condensation is the conversion from a gas to a liquid.
