    quantitive is the observation on the quantity or the amount.


  2. Qualitative observations are those observations which rely mainly on the 5 senses: touch, hearing, sight, smell, taste. A quantitative observation deals with quantities - a measurement and a unit.

    An orange may be described qualitatively as round, tastes sweet, has a floral scent. Quantitatively it can be described as weighing 24.3 grams.

    Quantitative Analysis determines the amount present.
