What is the difference between ".35x" and ".42x" while purchasing a Wide Angle Panoramic Fisheye Lens?

  1. The .35x is wider than .42x.  The number, denoted by 'x' refers to a lenses magnification.  For example, 2x is twice the magnification of 1x which is zero magnification.  When the number is less than one, as in this case with .42x and .35x, the number refers to a reduction in size, or minification - which is what wide angle lenses do.
