  1. The difference is, "wasting" is spelled correctly, and "loosing" isn't.

But don't feel bad--86% of the people on the internet also spell "losing" incorrectly.  (Why, I have no idea.)

  2. Does it really matter because weather you are "wasting" something or "losing" it, in the long run you will have the same results...it will be gone.

  3. When risk outweighs potential, then losses are wasted.

When someone doesn't bother to learn something before they leap, then the loss is wasted.

Firing a lot of bullets w/o a target is a waste.

Listening to the media talking heads and the political talking heads is a waste of energy and resources.

Trying to model the stock market with a Bell Curve, where huge declines don't fit, is a waste, and trying to apply it even more wasteful.

Subsequently, the work of all economists and stock analysts are a waste, and make my head hurt to listen to them. My heart hurts for those that listen in earnest -- almost everyone -- the unsuspecting.

By and large, Buy and Hold is a waste. Buy and Hope.

Conversely, measuring risk, doing your own work, making an educated decision, guarding your investments, and taking a small loss quickly are only natural. Mitigating risk and loss are part of life.

Hope is a waste in this business; not a reason, not a plan, not an act.

And nobody will take you seriously,  nor will you go very far, until you take the effort and responsibility to spell correctly.
