  1. either is which ever, meaning you pick one of them. neither means you dont want any.

    For example:

Some one asks if you want a blue or red dress, you say "Either, red or blue" or "Neither, I want yellow"

  2. "Either" means one or the other.

    "Neither" means, not either one.

  3. Either is one or the other. Neither is not one nor the other.

  4. one has an N. I think i only has the N to feel Superior to either

  5. This question has particular resonance for me because I learned the answer from two German students of English.  I was in my dressing room in The English Theatre of Hamburg when I heard two staff talking outside.  One said "Vat iss diss 'neezer?'" The other said "It means not eezer."  Not either. I thought "God, I've been speaking English all my life and I didn't realize that!"

  6. "Either" is like you have two choices, between one choice or the other, choosing from EITHER this or that. "Neither" just means none of the two choices, so you choose NEITHER this or that. And both of them mean "too" and "also".

  7. either means you will take one or the other

neither meas you do not want any of the two

  8. The N.

  9. Either implies that you have two possible choices, neither implies that both of the choices you made are incorrect.

  10. either implies a positive outcome (one of the options will be chosen or will happen) and neither implies negative (none of the options will be chosen or will happen)

  11. When using either or neither you are usually talking about two things. When using either it could be thing or thing two or both. When you are using neither it means it is not any of your options.

  12. Either goes with or, neither goes with nor.

"He was neither tall nor short"

"He was either tall or short"
