  1. Surgery: In the movies, the people look fantastic after their operation. In real life, they look and feel horrible.

Eating in a restaurant: Nobody ever has to wait for a table in the movies. Nor do they get stuck next to loud, misbehaving kids.

Sleeping: In the movies, the bedrooms always seem to have a light coming from somewhere.

A few etceteras: In the movies, people always get the best possible parking space and never have to walk. There's always room for them in the elevator. When they make a phone call, it's answered within two seconds. There's always a dial tone when the other person hangs up. And during a storm, the thunder and lightning occur at the same instant.

  2. Real life is usually a lot less glamorous and a lot messier.  And you don't get your answers wrapped up in 90 minutes.

  3. I notice in films, unless it is a part of the storyline, very few people go to the toilet regularly, or pluck their nose hairs, or dye their hair, or shave their legs, or clean the fish tank or bird cage, or wash the windows, or wait for plumbers or furniture deliveries, or any of the hundred other chores that have to be done in real life to make your world go around fairly smoothly.  Otherwise, it's just the same!

  4. Real life is just like the movies except the colours are less intense and the people are uglier.

  5. It really happens in real life.  It is acting in films.

  6. Tons!

People aren't really doing any of that stuff, they are just acting.
