  1. I don't consider there to be any difference between science equipment and science apparatus, unless it is that science equipment is all-inclusive, while the apparatus you set up would be for the specific work you are going to do.

There is a more easily defined difference between an instrument and a machine.  An instrument gathers data, and a machine performs work.

  2. Sounds like pointless quibbling over semantics to me.

Subtle differences in meaning will exist between different countries, schools, or even different teachers at the same school.

Just learn the particular definition your instructor has in mind and stick with that.  If that is not why you need to know, dont worry about it.

  3. *...Science Equipment is ALL the paraphernalia associated with a Science Lab.

*...An 'Apparatus' consists of those parts of the equipment used to set up a Scientific Experiment or Demonstration.

  4. Science equipment is a tool used in science (such as in experiments) while a fire apparatus, fire engine, fire truck, or fire appliance is a vehicle designed to assist in fighting fires, by transporting firefighters to the scene, and providing them with access, water or other equipment. In some areas, the terms fire engine and fire truck represent different types of fire fighting apparatus.

For me, apparatus is considered as science equipment.

    Hope I helped. :)
