What is the difference between self confidence and high self esteem?

Self-confidence means a person's trust in himself for his abilities and capabilities and other good characteristics.

Self-esteem, on the other hand, refers to how a person rates and sees himself in relation to the society where he is a part.

but i don't understand what that has to do to Egypt?
