  1. There are 3 or 5 Sets (Games) in a Match.

    The winner is the team that wins the most sets out of the 3 or 5.

    Sets are games to 25 in rally scoring (30 in college) and the winner must win by 2. For example 25-23, 28-26, 36-34. Games can go as far as they need to, or there can be a cap of a set amount of points as ruled by the governing body of the match. For instance, if a high school association sets a cap of 27 for all conference games, the winning team must win by 2 or get to the cap points first. For example, with a 27 point cap, a team can win a set if the score is 27-26.

    The deciding set in a match is often played to 15 and teams switch sides when the first team reaches 8.
