  1. When used with the right defenition, s*x and gender are exactly the same thing. s*x is also a word used to describe Sexual Intercorse.

  2. "Sex” refers more to the biological and physiological characteristics that define males and females.

“Gender” refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women and those of indeterminate gender who may display characteristics or mannerisms of both sexes.

"s*x" is also used to describe sexual activity between the same or different gendered individuals.

  3. um..mayb s*x is in reference 2 only humans bt gender also covers animals?

  4. "s*x" as a noun, is synonymous to "gender;" but used as a verb, means "coitus."

In contrast, "gender" is a noun, and it means the same as "s*x" in noun form, which is characteristics that identify a male from a female.

  5. As far as I was aware they are synonymous. This seems to be the case at Thesaurus.com anyway.

  6. Essentially, there's no difference. It's mostly about the most common uses of the terms. I've found that "gender" tends to be more prevalent with "boy" and "girl" where s*x is typically "male" and "female."

I've also found that "hermaphrodite" tends to be associated with the s*x of a species rather than a gender of a species. I'm not sure if this is a result of taboo, science, or society, but I do lean towards society on this association.

  7. Gender is to know whether the person is Male or Female.

s*x can be used for above purpose or is referred to sexual intercourse too...
