  1. The double circulation involves the body and the lungs.  The right ventricle (or ventricle in amphibians and reptiles) will send the blood to the lungs while the left ventricle will send it to the body.

    A single circulation in fish sends the blood through the heart to the gills then to the rest of the body in one large loop.


  2. Heart--lung---heart and heart---- body---heart constitute double circulation. Eg. Amphibia to mammals

    Heart--gill--body and back to heart constitute single heart. Eg. Fish
