  1. Smog is fog with soot in it. Wikipedia 'The great smog of 1952' for more concise information on it's formation

  2. Fog is a low lying stratus cloud.  It happens in clean air. Smog  =SMoke + fOG.  Basically fog is in a very polluted area when you get smoke combined with fog.

  3. smog is due to manmade pollutants in the atmosphere, where fog is water vapor collecting into the air at the surface of the earth. Much like clouds forming on the ground.

  4. If air near the ground becomes  saturated  and the water vapor in the air condenses into water droplets under certain conditions, then fog occurs. It is simply 'cloud on ground '.

But smog consists of high density combinations of aerosols and gaseous pollutants.Smog is a term which is a contraction for 'smoke fog'.Here, smoke plays the part of a condensation nuclei in the condensation process. It may be mentioned here that the ground-level ozone is an air pollutant and it is the key component to smog.

  5. The word 'smog' was created by joining to previously existing words: SMoke and fOG.

Fog is the natural occurrence when the humidity reaches 100%, in other words, the air is saturated with moisture and contains many tiny liquid water droplets.

Smoke is caused by pollution, and Smog is created when Smoke and Fog mix together. It is serious - breathing smog does you no good at all, and can kill.

  6. Smog= what we called air poLLution.. It's contain BAD air.. Such as carbonmonoxyde from our veHicLes. And it have negative effect on us.. Lot of them is the green house gas... The gas that cause gLobaL warming..

But fog, is naturaL pHenomenHon.. contain water (we can say aerosoL or anything in biology ,hehe) and It's not dangerous.. Fog usuaLLy occurs in morning..

    hoho, that's it..

  7. ahhhh this is an easy one! smog is pollution and smoke that accumulates around cities. fog is basicly a giant cloud thats near the surface of the earth.

  8. A fog is a vapor condensed to fine particles of water suspended in lower atmosphere while smog is a smoke made that causes pollution like cigarettes in the car that mix with the fog.

  9. Smog is caused by polluition being trapped between a layer of warm air and cold air.

Fog is the water rising out of the cool ground in the hot morning sun.

  10. Smog is smoke that is pollution (produced by industrial factories) and fog is simply a cloud in contact with the ground (or very near the ground) like in the Golden Gate Bridge it sometimes gets foggy.

  11. smog=smoke+oxygen (artificial occourance)

    fog (natural occourance)
