  1. AFL is Australian Football League, its aussie rules football and is different to any other football in the world, check www.afl.com.au

NRL is rugby league which is pretty much the same as union i think league is a bit softer

  2. in soccer they have to go to acting school so if the opposition gives them a nasty look then they know how to fall over with a grimace to their faces, in afl they go to ballet school for their leaping and who can fit into the smallest shorts,in rugby league they actually tackle ,break a few bones now an then, shed a bit of claret, have a meaning to their game ,and last of all they entertain the crowd which is more than can be said for the other codes and that includes union,

  3. Well presumable you know (soccer) as it is the most popular sport in the world.

AFL (Australian Rules Football, is a fast, hard tackling game involving kick and run of an oval shaped ball, there is no offside so players from both sides are always in defensive and offensive positions, allowing for incredibly fast transition from defense to Attack (probably faster than any other ball sport in the world). It is played on a cricket ground, so the length is about 2 thirds longer than a football pitch. There is no throwing allowed but kicking, punching and slapping of the ball is allowed. If you catch the ball off a kick without it hitting the ground it is called a mark, and a free kick is given. This is one of the most spectacular parts of the game, as the really good guys cimb off opponents backs and catch the ball well over two or three metres in the air.

as was stated www.afl.com.au is good for all the rules, news, teams info etc...

Rugby Union and NRL (league) are similar in that two teams line up facing each other, and try to place an oval ball down in the opponents end zone, similar to American Gridiron, it is just as heavily tackling, but they don't wear armour or helmets. The difference is that in Rugby when the ball gets held up, they scrum, where they form a pack and push each other to control the ball. But in league the other team is forced to retreat 10 metres. In both codes when they cross the end zone, a kicker tries to "convert" the try by kicking it through the posts and adding extra points. Rugby Union is less stop start than league, although League does seem to generate harder tackles. Out of all the football codes AFL is definately the fastest, and the ball moves back and forth a lot more.

  4. Well I take it you know what soccer is.AFL is Australian Football League or "Aussie Rules" as it is known.NRL is National Rugby League or Rugby League.ARU is Australian Rugby Union or union as its known

  5. whats afl and nrl?
