  1. Gas was 35 cents a gallon, a loaf of bread was 25 cents and a McDonalds hamburger was 15 cents. TV had Bonanza, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Bewitched, The Addams Family, The Munsters and Get Smart.  No one had a microwave oven, remote control, cable or satellite.  All phones were landlines and there were no personal computers.

Panty hose were invented, the Beatles became famous, hippies spread love, we were bogged down in Vietnam, and miniskirts became stylish.  Our biggest fear was the Russians who also had the A-bomb.

  2. WOW what a question! it's hard to know where to begin. to begin with we(the collective we that is)have learned more in the last 40-50 years than we learned in the previous 500 years. so our technology is of course much better. the same is true of communication. We as people havn't changed much since man began, but since we can collect our ideas together so much better we seem more intelligent. although we also seem more corrupt,we really aren't we just see more of it due to greater population and also instant world-wide news coverage, also and again greater communication. this is just a small part of an answer too long to write here but I hope this much helped, good luck, Mark

  3. Now days there is computers, cell phones, Internet, i pods, video games, Nintendo, game boys, and even more.  There is also a lot more violence and less adventure. In the 1960's, they knew little science and were not worried or aware about all the terrible things in the world.  It was during this time when Neal Armstrong landed on the moon.  Reading was also much more popular.

  4. I was less than 10 years old in the 1960s. I'm in my late 40s now.
