What is the difference between the 2004 Callaway Big Bertha irons and the 2006?

  3. They were produced by a different alloy batch and will be different minutely. But if both heads are 460cc and I belive they are then all that is different is the shafts unless they have the same flex and weight. If that's the case then it's just like the other guy said, one turns four this year and the other turns two.

  4. The '06s have a larger undercut channel to move the center of gravity lower and farther away from the club head. The idea being to make it easier to get the ball airborne and increase the chances of a solid strike. Berthas are game improvement clubs for golfers that have trouble getting the ball in the air with any power. They make that part easier, but it's more difficult to work the ball intentionally either left or right. They're designed to hit it straight.  I believe the club face on the '06 is a bit larger as well. The newest Berthas have undergone a radical change in design. Check them out on any golf retailer site, TGW, Golfsmith are good ones.
