I have a Starcaster, but it seems like a beginners guitar, while I am becoming advanced .... should I stick with the Starcaster? or sell it and get a Stratocaster?

  1. The "Starcaster by Fender" is a cheaply made guitar. It's not something that's meant for long-term use. The same applies to a Squier guitar.

If I were you, I'd get an actual Fender Stratocaster. Just get the standard MIM (Made In Mexico) and I'm sure you'll be happy. You'll be spending ~$400 but it's worth the money.

  2. I have a Fender Starcaster and it is a good guitar for beginners, but not good for using when you're becoming better at the guitar like me, I am going to sell my Starcaster and buy an epiphone explorer, and if you like the Fender Stratocaster, you should sell your Starcaster and buy the Stratocaster, i don't own one, but i play my friend's all the time and it's a really good guitar at a reasonable price.

  3. Well the squier company makes alright guitars, not as good as fender. but still usable. But as for the starcaster, i would stay far away from it. If your really on a budget just get a squier.
