What is the difference between the HD mini DV tapes and the normal mini DV tapes?

I am wondering about that for this camcorder. It accepts mini DV and HD mini DV. What is the difference?

They are the same.

Many tapes use slightly different composition of metal and may be "wet" or dry.

Once you start, the heads only get used to one brand of tape...
