  1. They are not Nextel or Busch anymore. Thats the difference. Its the Sprint cup and Nationwide series now. As a baseball reference, the Sprint Cup is like the MLB and the Nationwide is like Triple A baseball(minor league or feeder series)

  2. i think you are stuck in the past. it is now the NASCAR Sprint cup series and the Nationwide Series.

  3. As people have said before the names are different.  But....the Sprint cup series is the big league for NASCAR drivers.  In NASCAR in order to make it to the top you need to take the steps and the one step it the nationwide(busch) series.  It is not as popular as the sprint (nextel) cup series, but car owners look at the drivers and choose drivers from that series that think will do well in the sprint series.

    Hope this helps

  4. The Nextel(Now the Sprint) is a higher level or series than the Busch(Now the Nationwide)

  5. currently the nextel cup series is known as the sprint cup series and the busch series is the nationwide series.

Sprint Cup is the highest level that is possible, while the nationwide series is a step lower.

  6. Unlike in Baseball though drivers can run multiple series at a time. That is why Edwards, Busch, JR. etc run both each week. Just think of the old Busch now Nextel series as a feeder and developmental series for the Cup.
