  1. The Difference is in mission, the Pirmary Duty for SF (Green Berets) is acting as a Force Multiplier and doing what are Called Foriegn Internal Defense (FID). SEALs are set up to do Direct Action (DA), Combat Swimming, Raids, etc...basically the focus is that SEALs are focused on Offensive Missions while the SF is focused on winning the Long War in a Counter Insurgency by training the locals, helping them out and leading them until they can do it themselves. In a way, SF are more crucial to the long fight against an insurgency since SEALs are the guys who take it to the enemy while SF helps the locals and attempts to win the hearts and minds. You might need both to really win but in the long run the SF do more to win the peace so to speak.

  2. The Navy seals are with the Navy and the Green Beret with the army.

They are both very precise in there job and missions. The seals have skills in and outside of the water and can survive just about anywhere with a coast line. The Green Berets are for land and air (jump wise) and can survive in jungle and urban type terrains. They are both very good at what they do and I am  glad that they are on our side.

  3. One is at sea, the other is on land.  Simple as that!
