  1. Anthropologically speaking, small towns tend to be more culturally unified because they tend to have less diversity than cities.  They also tend to have a very solid morality code, whereas morality lines in large cities tend to fluctuate a lot more because of the greater movement of peoples in these areas.

  2. Pussycat got it right. Dignity and behavior are more with in acceptable margins in a rural area. Being trustworthy and a good citizen has more value. Accountability has a greater emphasis. The influence of pop culture is less.

  3. 1.  Homogeneity - In a rural town everyone will have basically the same beliefs and traditions.  In a big city, you will see all kinds of various cultures and beliefs.

    2.  Anonymity - In a small rural town everyone knows you and your business.  In a big city, even your neighbor may know nothing about you.

    3.  Pace of life- In a rural town, the pace of life is slower.

    4.  Things to do- In a big city, you have museums, theater, sporting events, etc.  These may not be available in a small rural town.

    5.  Feeling of community- In a rural town, the sense of community is stronger.  In a big city, this is not necessarily the case.
